They did just finally implement a sales tax, but it is still worth checking out. Explore a modern city, get out in the desert, enjoy the warmth, and do some luxury shopping.
- Cartagena, Colombia
Colombia appears to have reached a great balance between safety and affordability for visitors. It’s ranked far safer than Mexico and Venezuela, yet, offers very affordable flights and beachfront hotels and vacation condos, as well as plenty of new foods to try. This might be the year to go before it becomes too popular.
